Early Voting Begins May 8 in Okmulgee County for State Senate and Tech Center Elections

Early voting for the May 13 election begins Thursday, May 8, in Okmulgee County, giving residents a convenient opportunity to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day.
Ashley Carnes, Secretary of the Okmulgee County Election Board, reminds voters that early voting is open to everyone—no excuse needed. “Whether you’ll be out of town, want to skip the lines, or simply prefer voting early, this is your chance to make your voice heard,” Carnes said.
Eligible voters can head to the Okmulgee County Courthouse at 314 W. 7th Street, Room 102, to vote early on Thursday, May 8, and Friday, May 9, between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. Please note that early voting is only available at the courthouse, not at your regular polling place.
The May 13 election includes the Special General Election for Oklahoma State Senate District 8, open to all registered voters in Okmulgee County. Voters who reside within the Green Country Technology Center district will also vote on a special tech center proposition.
