James “Jimmy” Boerstler, a lifelong resident of Henryetta, Oklahoma, passed from this life on July 9, 2025, at the age of 72.

Born on April 10, 1953, in Henryetta to Ross Frank and Nellean (Gordon) Boerstler, Jimmy carried on his family’s deep roots in the community. He proudly owned and operated Kennedy Lumber Company in Henryetta, where his family built not only a successful business but also lasting relationships with friends, neighbors, and customers alike.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Benny Boerstler.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Kay (Jones) Boerstler of the home; his sons, Will Boerstler of Shawnee and RJ (Phoebe) Boerstler of Henryetta; and his sisters, Jan Prahl of Henryetta and Sally Woodward of Kingwood, Texas.

Jimmy will be remembered for his steady presence, hardworking nature, and unwavering love for his family and hometown.

A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Rogers Funeral Home.
